Perhaps, as is so often the case, it will be the first and last snow towards the end of the year, so that the temperatures at Christmas will be the same as at Easter.
Nevertheless, it’s still nice to see nature under a white coat at the beginning of December!
At least Junikohl is always drawn out then, especially when she is with relatives in the Westerwald, in Kroppacher Schweiz!
It’s not far from them to the Marienwanderweg trail and then to Marienstatt Monastery in Nistertal, which has a very special aura at this time of year!
And this year there was even another reason for Junikohl to visit the monastery
because it’s store sells beautiful statues of the Virgin Mary!
And her mother, who lives in Mexico, is to receive one of them as a christmas gift!
Even if Junikohl herself is not a devout Christian, her mother certainly is and will be delighted to receive one of the statues, which will now, after the purchase, embark on a long journey!
So for this Maria and her little son, it may be the last snow they ever see. But they will, and Junikohl is certain of this, be given a very special place where they won’t have to miss anything!
